We all know that networking is great: it opens doors to new opportunities, knowledge, and inspiring people. You can accomplish almost anything with the support of a strong and diverse network. Today especially, when much of our social and business life takes place in parallel in the virtual world and via Social Media, it’s critical to be part of an active network to stay informed, connected, and visible. Ultimately, this leads to more success, joy, resilience, and personal growth – pillars which are also important for mental health.
But how does it work?
A lot of people think that the art of networking is a talent some people have, but that they, unfortunately, do not. How does networking work for more shy, introverted people? What if you think you’re not special, talented or particularly important enough? You may wonder what you have to offer and how you can make contact with others – both in person and online – to build a network?
We’ll discuss networks in general as well as how to really “do” networking to experience more joy, resilience and personal growth in the process. We'll cap things off with a short activity that will show you a fun, new way to easily connect with other people.
